'This Century' releases a new album at home

Lead guitarist Sean Silverman says, “I love the song Everywhere, Everything and I really love the song Sound of Fire because I think of how much time and energy was put towards getting that song to where it needed to be.” The audience seemed to love the songs too as they sang along and jumped to the beat. Fans’ love the album’s cover which features a piano on fire. “We went to the middle of the desert with a piano we had found on Craig’s List,” says lead singer Joel Kanitz. “We just told the lady that it was for a photo shoot; she didn’t know we were going to set it on fire.”
Sean and drummer Ryan Gose formed the band and invited Sean’s brother, Alex, to play bass from them. Alex recruited Joel, a fellow Art High School attendee, which Joel describes, “we’re artsy kids.” After several name choices including Modern Poets and Evident Earth, the band finally choose This Century after Sean said, “We need to come up with a band name sometime this century.” The fans’ adoration of This Century was demonstrated through a chant of “one more song” causing an encore performance.
