Fun Times at the Rochford House.azTeen Magazine kicked-off 2007 Memorial Day weekend with a staff lunch meeting at our publisher's home. The meeting included Deb Rochford, Publisher/Owner, Alexis Brundstet, azTeen's Editor and her staff of teen writers, editors and interns. The meeting focused on planning the next "Back To School Issue" and the anticipated content. One of azTeen's goals is including a bit more "guy-friendly" content so the teen staff was encouraged to invite some guy friends to the meeting to give their suggestions and ideas of the types of articles that would interest male readers. We were having so much fun, the meeting went well past the expected completion time discussing new ideas and new magazine departments that are expected to be added to the magazine format including beauty and fashion, cultural issues, health, real deal and sports. During the meeting, Deb Rochford announced that the magazine will begin publishing issues monthly beginning in January, 2008 instead of every two months. WOW. This is exciting stuff but will increase the number of articles compressed into much shorter deadlines. We're all looking forward to the challenge.
