Louis Barrazza: A Perfect Student Athlete.
“My hard work has finally paid off!” Louis Barrazza stated. Louis is a senior at Trevor G. Browne High School (TGB). Around campus he is very well known due to his academic achievements and his phenomenal basketball talent.To describe Louis, one would say tall, dark, and handsome yet very shy and timid. Did I mention handsome? Louis, a 6’5” and 195 pound shooting guard averaged 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists per game helping TGB reach this year’s basketball season battle to the Final Four. Louis’s individual accolades and accomplishments include being named All-Region 1st Team (Junior and Senior years), Region Player of the Year (Senior year) and All-State 2nd Team.
Louis, originally from Alabama, moved to Mexico with his parents at the age of three. When Louis was a Sophomore he came to live in Arizona with his aunt and has attended TGB ever since. He didn’t know that much English when he returned but with the help of his teachers and his willingness to work hard, he managed to become the English Language Learner Student of the Month. The next year he received the English Student of the Year awarded by the TGB English Department.
This very talented athlete has received at least five different scholarship offers for both basketball and academics from universities throughout the nation. Louis says “Basketball isn’t everything, my career comes first.” He is still undecided which university he will be attending. He has a lot of options to consider before making his final decision!
Louis is a perfect example of a hard-working student that excels at both academics and athletics . He maintains a GPA of 4.1 and as a shooting guard he performs well under pressure to get the job done. He is always on-time to class and doesn’t expect to be treated differently from anyone else. He works extremely hard at everything he does whether it is playing basketball or excelling at school.
