Sex Before Marriage?

Monday, August 25, 2008

S-E- X those three simple letters can raise quite a few eyebrow. Now add in the fact that people are doing in younger and younger and some people might even want to cover their ears. It's not that sex is something bad or evil in fact it's how we all got here, and most people end up doing it at some point in their life. The real topic of controversy is "when?" We are fully aware that is common to start in college, high school or sometimes even younger but the question i had to ask was: " sex before marriage: good or bad?"  Once again i scoured Arizona to find out what you guys had to say about this question, heres what i came up with...

As long as your being safe and smart about it then i see no problem. But i mean, honestly, be safe, no one wants pregnant teenagers running around.

Sex is definitly something that shouldn't be taken lightly, but i don't think waiting until marriage is as important these days. What really matters is that you're truly in love with the person and it's a situation you won't regret.
- Stefani Jones, Chaparral '10

I think people should be allowed to decide for themselves, it's your decision, not someone elses.
- Gabe Collins, Arcadia '12

It's not a dirty act because it is human nature. I think sex before marriage is a spoiled act. Why go sleeping around with people whom you 'think' you love? If you wait to have sex until you have found the one true person you love, and thus are marrying this person to prove your love, then it is more special and is not spoiled by any regrets.
-Alexis Gonzalez, Xavier College Prep '10

Sex before marriage is definitely bad. There is no such thing as 'casual' sex. Call me old school, but isn't sex supposed to be shared with one special person, not a few random people who want a little jig-jig? Wait until you tie the knot!
-Lindsay Halfhill, Primavera '10

It is a dangerous world out there and you should know the person good enough to give yourself. I could say its bad, ( by waiting until marriage) your being safe with your body and not exposing it. There isn't any transmitted diseases...and being safe is better then toying with it.
-Hadasa, Ayly '09

Bad. I believe people should wait until marriage, it makes it that much better on your honeymoon!
-Shellie Palmer, Centennial '10

Bad. Sex before marriage is like giving a piece of your heart to someone who will go around and share that piece with everyone else. You'll never get that piece back and you'll forever be incomplete. It's no longer that 'special' or 'sacred' ritual that those two people share.

Hey, I just wanted to help you out a little, I found a few minor mistakes, but I thought they'd be good for you to maybe know :)

"can raise quite a few eyebrow." -you forgot the S at the end of eyebrowS

"that people are doing in younger and younger" -its suppose to be IT not IN, i'm guessing spelling error

"fully aware that is common to start in college" -it's suppose to be IT before the "is common"

-you didn't capatilize the "i"'s you had...in both your blog section, and what the people you asked said.

"as long as your smart about it then i see no problem" -it's YOU'RE not your
